You can see my children were pretty torn up about having to leave my side and join their teachers and friends in line. I must say, though, I will be forever grateful that, thus far anyway, I have never had to be the mom peeling her sobbing child from her hip and forcing that child into the school building. These are the faces of children who love their friends, love their teachers, and love their school experience (most days).
