Possibly the Best Birthday on Record

To date, birthday #33 is probably one of the nicest birthdays I've had. It began with a gift I'd mentioned wanting several months ago (a framed poster with a cute logo for each of the Sioux Falls parks). The kids and I met my friend, Emily, and her four kiddos at the Falls and then rode through downtown on the trolley, stopping only for cookies from the Cookie Jar. I returned home from that excursion to find Red Velvet cupcakes from Queen City Bakery and my mother-in-law with Happy Meals for the kids, so Bill and I could go for lunch. We went to a girly little restaurant downtown and then walked through a bunch of artsy shops that I've been curious about for a long time, but would never even consider setting foot inside with children. We finished the day with a trip to the Verne Drive-in, where we watched, "Epic," and, "The Croods." My full day ended with a full heart.
