Spring (scratch that) Snow is in the Air

Last weekend, we went to Inwood for the community Easter Egg Hunt in the park. It wasn't exactly a bright spring day. In fact, it was dreary and snowy, but that just made the Easter eggs that much cheerier looking.

Grier wasn't entirely sure how she felt about the Easter Bunny.

There are no pictures of Fletcher with the Easter Bunny because when I asked if he wanted to come be in a picture with the bunny, he told me, "Mom, if you have candy, you go play." So, he headed for the playground.

This is where you stay if you're five months old and it's snowing during Easter Egg hunts in Inwood, even if your car is across the street and up the block a little ways.

After the egg hunt, we headed for the farm to see Grandpa Jim and Grandma Rita and Prissy. While we were there, Rita had a few treasures to share with us. Her mom, Grandma Helen, recently decided to move to Omaha to live with Rita's sister, so she's getting rid of everything but the essentials. Apparently, hidden in some linen closet or bathroom cupboard, she still had the self-care kit that she received from her first-class flight to Japan several summers ago. Leah was in Heaven combing through all the travel-size toiletries. The two things she was most excited about, though, were the socks and the sleeping mask. She decided to try it out on the drive home. Grier didn't need any mask over her eyes. Just having her "mine" was enough to put her to sleep.
